Another Great Blog Review for Pilloroo!

Wow!  We’ve seen great blog reviews, but this one is terrific!  We were contacted from the Author of Women of Hope and Prayer asking us to review the Pilloroo.  She was so impressed with Pilloroo, she bought one for each of her kids.  We love when moms see how much their kids will absolutlely love their Pilloroos.

Hop on over to Women of Hope and Prayer.  She always has something new to see and lots of Give Aways.

Sometimes a card just isn’t enough…

Making the baseball team is definitely a reason to celebrate.  We can all remember the extraordinary lessons we’ve learned while playing sports.  Sending a Pilloroo with a special note expressing how proud you are of your slugger is a great way to give an aspiring baseball star a little extra support.

Let us know what you would like written on the note and we will be happy to put it in the pocket when we send out the gift.

Now let’s play ball!

Looking Back and Looking Forward

January is naturally the month for making resolutions and goal setting.  We are busy putting together our 2011 goals and have a lot of great Pilloroo ideas in the works with some new fun ideas on the way.  We keep striving to make Pilloroo better and bigger while being amazed by the successes we have been able to acheive and blessed by the smiles we have seen on our Pillrooo Fan’s faces.

I can’t help but look back.  We are often asked, how did you get started?  It’s with a chuckle, that I explain, “At my mother’s kitchen table; BillieJo on one end and I on the other with our sewing machines buzzing.”  Our first meeting, she brought the pillow I had made for Jacob years prior and with much luck and a few false starts, I figured out how to make it again.  We sewed nearly 75 Pilloroos in the next weeks and signed up for a craft fair in Springville.  With butterflies and high hopes, that’s how we started.

Help a Child

This season we are proud to team up with our local women’s shelter, The Marjaree Mason Center, to raise much needed funds for their facility.  Use coupon code HOPE and when you purchase a Pilloroo, $5 will go to the shelter.  We are so happy to help the women and children that benefit from the center’s services daily.  You can even buy a child at the center a Pilloroo for just $15.

Now that’s celebrating the holidays!

Pilloroo Fun

Watch our biggest Pilloroo fans play with their pillows.  So fun!

Travel…Comfortably

Packing for a trip is an exciting time for kids.  Wanting to take everything and the kitchen sink is a natural tendency.  One of our smart Pilloroo Moms shared with us her key for keeping toys, books and tiny articles to a manageable minimum: “Whatever fits in your Pilloroo can go!”  This is a fabulous idea!  A couple of books;  a set of action figures; a PSP and the tiny little games that go with it -can all fit in the Pilloroo Pouch and is just enough to keep kids entertained until they fall asleep…Hopefully!

Know Your Target Market

One of our first lessons on this journey was to learn our target market.  We have had the pleasure of meeting many of our customers.  If you asked me our target market I would say kids first – they love the hiding spot and the comfy pillow – and I would follow it with Moms, Grandmas and Aunts.  The longer I do this though, I am finding out target market doesn’t end there.

On Sunday I sent our new sales catalog to Kinkos.  I got a call an hour later from the sales person.  He told me how cool he thought these Pilloroos were and asked if he could buy one.  I was delighted!  When I brought it to the store, he totally lit up!  He thanked me and proceeded to show all the college age guys he was working with.  ”That’s Pretty Cool” was the general response.

Everyone loves Pilloroos – They’re fun, and they keep your secrets!

That’s pretty cool.

A Great Charity

La Visionaria Guild is  a Central Valley based charity raising money for child abuse prevention and treatment.  Moneys raised go to our very own Children’s Hospital of Central California.  This local organization is known for its restaurant take overs where they sell tickets for their benefit nights.  This month, on April 28th at 5:30, they are taking over Limon restaurant in Fresno.  Limon serves the best Peruvian cuisine in the Central Valley, so they are sure to be sold out.  To get tickets, you can go to the La Visionaria website www.lavisionariaguild.org.

Pilloroo loves what La Visionaria is doing.  We’ve donated a Bulldog Pilloroo to be raffled off.  Join the La Visionaria group for a night of wonderful Peruvian food from Limon in Fresno, and you might go home with a comfy Pilloroo.  Now that make for some sweet dreams!
